Job summary

Porter-Starke Services is seeking a School-Based Support Specialist for our SELF School to provide interventions, referrals, and resources to students and their families. You will collaborate with teachers and school administrators to support behavioral health needs in the school setting.

Responsibilities include case management assessments, crisis intervention when appropriate, and facilitating access to community resources.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, or related human services field is required.
• Valid Driver's License and automobile insurance.
• 6 months or more related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides interventions to students with learning challenges within the school, including case management and crisis interventions.
• Provides resources and referrals to families in need.
• Consults with school personnel on challenging situations and care options.
• Conducts case management assessments and connects clients to treatment when needed.
• Documents interventions per departmental standards and updates treatment plans.
• Participates in peer consultation and staff meetings.

Education
