Job summary

BUTLER COUNTY SCHOOLS is seeking a Speech/Language Pathologist (Teacher) to provide comprehensive speech and language services in identified students. The role includes developing IEPs, delivering therapy, coordinating with teachers and families, and ensuring compliance with state and federal guidelines.

The successful candidate will collaborate with the Principal, maintain confidential records, assess progress, and participate in ongoing professional development to improve student communication

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required.
• State licensure/certification in Alabama required.
• Experience with IEP processes preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and write IEPs for students in the speech/language program.
• Select materials and plan therapy activities for program implementation.
• Establish service delivery schedules and coordinate with staff.
• Maintain confidential records and report progress to parents and teachers.
• Collaborate with teachers, families and professionals to meet student goals.
