Job summary

Anson County Schools seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist to support students under the guidance of the Exceptional Childrens Director. The role includes assessment, IEP development, therapy planning, and collaboration with staff to implement services.

The candidate will provide screening and diagnostic services, coordinate therapeutic interventions, and ensure accurate record-keeping while advancing professional growth within a 10-month term.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Competency test approved by NC Board for Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists.
• Registration with NC Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists by a licensed supervising SLP.

Responsibilities

• Provides consultation, seeks assistance, uses related research and makes recommendations and referrals in the implementation of services
• Plans therapy and uses appropriate diagnostic tools and therapy techniques
• Manages time, facilities, and resources to facilitate delivery of services
• Promotes effective interpersonal relations and engages in continuing professional growth activities
• Develops individual education programs (IEPs)
• Conducts screening and testing, obtains diagnostic information, analyzes information, and makes recommendations regarding programs and services
• Organizes the local program, coordinates services with other student services and maintains records according to rules and ethics
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor
