The role supports IEP goals, communicates with families and staff about progress, reinforces behavior and academics, and helps create a safe classroom. Prior experience with K-12 children is preferred, with a HS diploma required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Experience working with K-12 children.

Responsibilities

• Execute support in servicing the Individualized Education Plans (IEP) for each of the students in your care
• Communicate with other staff and family members about each student's progress and struggles
• Use individualized reinforcement techniques to keep each student on the path toward greatness
• Support the classroom teacher in the areas of behavior reinforcement and academics
• Create a safe, productive classroom environment
