Job summary

REAL Journey Academies in Ontario, CA is seeking a Licensed Clinical Social Worker- AOD to provide counseling, case management, and substance use prevention within a public charter school setting.

This full-time, day-shift role collaborates with school staff, delivers individual and group sessions, develops prevention programs, and maintains records while connecting families to community resources. HIPAA/FERPA compliant practices are essential.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work or related field required.
• Pupil Personnel Services credential in Social Work required.
• Experience with school-based substance use prevention and intervention preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling focused on substance use and student wellbeing.
• Develop and lead substance use education programs and school-wide prevention campaigns.
• Collaborate with community organizations to support students and families.
• Maintain confidential case records compliant with HIPAA/FERPA.
• Prepare reports on student progress and program outcomes for stakeholders.
• Be available for evenings and weekend activities as needed.
