Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant studies, Communication Sciences and Disorders, or related field from an accredited institution.
• Current Texas Speech-Language Pathology Assistant License issued by TDLR, or eligibility to obtain licensure.
• Knowledge of speech-language disorders, therapy techniques, and educational practices.
• Ability to effectively utilize technology and electronic documentation systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct speech-language therapy services to students as directed by the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
• Implement treatment plans and interventions developed by the supervising SLP
• Assist with speech, language, voice, fluency, and social communication services
• Collect and maintain accurate data regarding student performance and progress
• Document therapy sessions and maintain records in compliance with district, state, and federal requirements
• Assist with the implementation and maintenance of AAC systems and devices
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, administrators, and related service providers to support student success
• Participate in IEP meetings, staff meetings, and professional development activities as requested
• Prepare therapy materials and support classroom carryover of communication strategies
• Foster a positive, safe, and engaging learning environment for students
