Job summary

Sylvania in Minnesota is seeking a Speech and Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to work full-time across 182 days. The SLPA will collaborate with the supervising SLP and school staff to provide direct and indirect speech/language services aligned with IEPs.

Responsibilities include planning therapy materials, documenting services, conducting screenings, and supporting transition of skills into general education.

Qualifications

• Speech Language Pathologist Assistant license required.
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication with staff, students, and parents.
• Strong technology/computer skills.
• Ability to travel between buildings may be required; work onsite.
• Ability to maintain regular attendance and complete assigned day.

Responsibilities

• Meet regularly with supervising SLP to coordinate services and design therapy materials.
• Provide direct services targeting speech/language goals in student IEPs.
• Develop lesson plans, prep materials, and visuals for speech services.
• Provide documentation of services and progress on goals/objectives.
• Assist with due process paperwork such as end of trimester reports and IEP levels.
• Provide indirect services to assist with transitioning skills into general education.
• Conduct/assist with articulation screenings and schedule sessions.
• Other duties as assigned.
