Job summary

The Education Cooperative TEC Campus School in Walpole, MA is seeking a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join an integrated school-team. Under supervision of the Program Director, the SLPA will provide direct and indirect services to support IEP goals within a collaborative setting.

Ideal candidates hold an MA SLPA license (or eligible) and an Associate’s degree or BS in related fields, with strong communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or BS in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Current MA driver’s license.
• Current MA SLPA license.
• Knowledge of augmentative communication and assistive technology devices preferred.
• Experience working with students with intensive special needs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Learn classroom contexts for designing age-appropriate activities for students with intensive needs.
• Define day-to-day responsibilities in coordination with SLPs and teachers.
• Participate in establishing shared educational/communication goals for students.
• Participate in service delivery plan decisions and IEP benchmarks.
• Manage schedule with assigned classes and students.
• Provide direct, indirect and consultation services to support communication in classrooms.
