Job summary

Strides Therapy & Educational Services is seeking a School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist to support Montgomery County Public Schools in Rockville, MD. The role involves assessments, therapy, and collaboration with school staff to help students improve communication and language skills.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Maryland licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
• CCC-SLP certification from ASHA unless CF.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of insurance billing and documentation practices.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments to identify disorders and develop treatment plans.
• Provide evidence-based interventions to improve articulation, fluency, and language skills.
• Collaborate with educators, parents, and school staff to support classroom participation.
• Monitor progress and adapt treatment plans for optimal outcomes.
• Educate parents and teachers on strategies to reinforce skills in the classroom.
• Maintain accurate records, including session notes and progress reports.

Education

Master's degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology

Maryland licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist

CCC-SLP (ASHA) unless a CF

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Excellent organizational skills
