Job summary

Strides Therapy & Educational Services seeks a School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist to support Montgomery County Public Schools. The SLP will assess, diagnose, and treat communication disorders, and collaborate with educators, families, and the school team to promote student success.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Maryland licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
• CCC-SLP from ASHA unless a CF.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide evidence-based speech and language pathology interventions to improve communication, articulation, fluency, and language skills.
• Collaborate with educators, parents, and school-based team to support classroom participation and social activities.
• Monitor and document progress, adapting treatment plans as necessary.
• Maintain accurate records including session notes, progress reports, and billing documentation.
• Participate in IEP meetings and school-based professional development opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and ethical standards.
