Job summary

RCM HealthCare Travel seeks a local contract Speech Language Pathologist for a school-based role in Dearborn, MI. 13 weeks, 40 hours weekly, in-person at an elementary school, with potential for part-time applicants as well.

Position requires Michigan SLP credentials and a master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, with licensure preferences and district-specific language strategy training. Start ASAP for the 2026/2027 year.

Qualifications

• State of Michigan certification as a teacher of the speech and language impaired preferred.
• SB endorsement and/or Clinical Competence Certificate required.
• Earned master's degree in speech and language pathology.
• Minimum of sixty semester hours in communication and clinical techniques.
• Minimum of 300 clock hours of supervised practicum.
• Early Childhood or Elementary education certification preferred.
• Demonstrated skills in articulation, language, voice, and fluency treatment.
• Willingness to learn district-specific language acquisition strategies.

Responsibilities

• Assist early elementary general education teachers in language acquisition and sound awareness.
• Act as liaison between school and home to foster parent involvement.
• Participate in intervention team meetings to support language strategies.
• Conduct speech/language evaluations and determine MARSE eligibility.
• Manage caseload and develop IEPs.
• Maintain records and reports in a timely fashion.
• Demonstrate proficiency in written and oral communication.
• Collaborate and work well with others and adhere to policies.
• Travel between multiple buildings.
