Job summary

Manhattan Day School is seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist to join our Special Education team for the 2026-2027 school year. This role focuses on language-based learning disabilities and Autism Spectrum Disorder within a multidisciplinary educational environment.

As part of our team, you will provide individual and small-group therapy, develop treatment plans aligned with IEP goals, and collaborate with teachers, OTs, psychologists, social workers, and families to support student

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology and NY state licensure (or eligibility).
• CCC-SLP preferred; CFY candidates encouraged to apply.
• Minimum 3–5 years experience with school-aged children; knowledge of language-based LDs and ASD.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and small-group speech-language therapy to students in Special Education.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with IEP goals.
• Collaborate with teachers, OTs, psychologists, social workers, and families.
• Participate in staff meetings and contribute to educational planning.
• Maintain documentation, progress reports, and therapy records.
• Support students in communication, language, social, and academic readiness skills.

Education

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology

New York State licensure (or eligibility)

CCC-SLP preferred
