Job summary

Safro Staffing is partnering with an autism therapeutic service provider to place a School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in a K-12 educational setting. The role offers both full-time and part-time opportunities, with a Monday–Friday schedule aligned to the school calendar.

You will evaluate and treat students, participate in IEPs, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support communication goals.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
• CCC-SLP certification preferred; CF candidates may be considered.
• PA Department of Education Educational Specialist Certification required.
• Experience with pediatric populations, preferably in school-based or autism support settings.
• Knowledge of IDEA, IEP development, and special education regulations.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and provide speech and language therapy services to students.
• Develop and monitor individualized treatment plans for each student.
• Participate in development, implementation, and annual review of IEPs.
• Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, and Medicaid billing when applicable.
• Collaborate with teachers, OTs, PTs, behavior staff, psychologists, and other team members.
• Consult with parents, caregivers, and school personnel to support communication goals.
• Conduct screenings, formal and informal assessments, and reevaluations per regulations.
• Provide recommendations for classroom accommodations, assistive technology, and communication strategies.
• Maintain compliance with all school, state, and federal guidelines.

Qualifications

• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; Clinical Fellowship (CF) candidates may be considered
• Pennsylvania Department of Education Educational Specialist Certification
• Experience working with pediatric populations, preferably within a school-based or autism support setting
• Knowledge of IDEA, IEP development, and special education regulations
• Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
