Job summary

Manhattan Day School is seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and collaborative Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our Special Education team for the coming school year 2026-2027.

You will support students with language-based learning disabilities and Autism Spectrum Disorder within a multidisciplinary educational environment, providing individual and small-group therapy, developing IEP-aligned plans, and collaborating with teachers, OTs, psychologists, social workers, and families.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• New York State license as a Speech-Language Pathologist (or eligibility for licensure).
• ASHA CCC-SLP preferred; strong CFY candidates encouraged.
• Minimum 3–5 years experience working with school-aged children.
• Knowledge of language-based learning disabilities and familiarity with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and small-group speech-language therapy to students in Special Education.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with IEP goals.
• Collaborate with teachers, OTs, psychologists, social workers, and families.
• Participate in staff meetings and contribute to educational planning.
• Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, and therapy records.
• Support students in communication, language, social interaction, and academic readiness.
