Qualifications

• SLP experience in school-based settings is required.
• Current CO SLP license in good standing is required.
• CPR/BLS certification is required.
• State and contract-specific compliance requirements must be met.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments to evaluate speech, language, and swallowing disorders across ages.
• Use standardized tests, observations, and interviews for diagnosis.
• Develop individualized treatment plans with measurable goals.
• Provide therapy for articulation, language, fluency, and related disorders.
• Counsel individuals and families on communication strategies.
• Train individuals in the use of assistive communication technologies.
• Perform screenings to identify at-risk individuals and implement preventive measures.
