Job summary

Sunbelt Staffing seeks a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to support students across elementary, middle, and high school in the Paterson, NJ area. This contract role emphasizes direct therapy and collaboration with teachers to align goals with classroom instruction.

You will assess needs, develop therapy plans, participate in IEP meetings, and document progress. A supportive school-based team provides resources and training to help students achieve communication success.

Qualifications

• Active NJ Speech-Language Pathologist license required.
• Experience in a school setting preferred.
• Familiarity with elementary to high school IEP processes.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students in elementary, middle, and high school
• Conduct comprehensive assessments to develop, implement, and monitor individualized therapy plans
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to educational planning for students with communication needs
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessments, progress reports, and treatment outcomes
• Collaborate with classroom teachers and support staff to integrate communication strategies into daily instruction
• Offer insights and resources to families to support student progress at home
