Job summary

The Stepping Stones Group, LLC is seeking a qualified school-based RN to provide direct nursing care within a Rhode Island educational setting. The role emphasizes ongoing student health monitoring, health plan implementation, and collaboration with families, school staff, and clinicians.

You will administer medications, manage emergencies, and ensure FERPA/HIPAA compliant documentation while supporting integrated care for students with diverse health needs.

Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in Rhode Island
• Graduate of ADN or BSN program
• Current BLS CPR/AED certification
• Competent with pediatric seizure action plans and rescue medications
• Experience in pediatric care and health management
• Ability to work independently in a non-clinical environment
• School-based nursing experience preferred
• Strong documentation practices

Responsibilities

• Maintain continuous observation of assigned student throughout the school day
• Implement and monitor student health plans
• Accompany student during transportation and community activities
• Communicate significant status changes to family, school staff, and clinical leadership
• Provide first aid, daily medical care, and emergency support
• Maintain student confidentiality in accordance with FERPA and HIPAA
