Job summary

Onward Education is partnering with a Jay County, Indiana school district to hire a dedicated Physical Therapist for the 2026-2027 school year. This on-site, part-time PT position supports students from preschool through 12th grade with evaluations, therapy, and mobility training.

You will collaborate with school teams, families, and educators to implement IEP/504-based goals, document progress, and ensure safe participation in school activities.

Qualifications

• Active Indiana Physical Therapist license (or ability to obtain/maintain IN licensure).
• School-based/pediatric experience preferred.
• Strong communication with school teams and families.

Responsibilities

• Conduct physical and functional evaluations in the school setting.
• Identify barriers affecting participation and access.
• Develop service plans aligned to IEP/504 goals with measurable outcomes.
• Provide direct therapy to improve mobility and motor skills.
• Teach safe mobility and use of assistive devices.
• Recommend environmental modifications and adaptive equipment.
• Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Provide staff training on mobility strategies.
• Maintain timely documentation and compliance records.
