Job summary

ProCare Therapy is seeking a contract physical therapist to support students’ growth in a school-based setting near Belleville, Michigan. The role offers the flexibility of working just one day per week, enabling meaningful clinical impact within a structured educational environment.

You will assess students, develop IEP-aligned plans, collaborate with teachers and parents, and maintain thorough records while delivering targeted therapy to diverse learners.

Qualifications

• Valid licensure to practice physical therapy.
• Experience in school or pediatric settings welcomed.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with children of varying abilities.
• Strong organizational skills and adaptability within the school environment.
• Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Comfort with documenting therapy services in educational records.

Responsibilities

• Provide targeted physical therapy interventions to help students achieve their academic and functional goals.
• Conduct assessments, develop and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs), and attend IEP meetings as required.
• Collaborate closely with teachers, staff, and parents to support student programming.
• Maintain detailed records according to school and regulatory guidelines.
• Deliver therapy sessions tailored to the unique strengths and needs of each student.
• Support inclusive practices and advocate for necessary accommodations.
