Job summary

Career Links is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist to provide school-based services in Tucson, Arizona. This in-person, part-time role supports students to improve mobility and independence within the educational setting.

The PT will assess students, develop IEP-aligned goals, and collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure compliant service delivery and progress monitoring.

Qualifications

• Doctorate or Master's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current Arizona Physical Therapy license issued by the Arizona Board of Examiners or eligibility to obtain licensure prior to start date.
• Knowledge of IDEA, special education procedures, and IEP development.
• Experience conducting evaluations and developing treatment plans.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess and implement physical therapy services for students.
• Conduct screenings to determine the need for further assessments.
• Identify eligibility for special education services and IEP needs.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and educational materials.
• Write PT goals and provide progress monitoring for IEPs.
• Support accountability for student growth on IEP goals.
• Attend IEP meetings and related team meetings.
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and school personnel.
• Deliver services through classroom integration when appropriate.
• Follow district and state regulations for special education.
• Participate in ongoing professional development.
