Job summary

Maryland School for the Blind is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to join its interdisciplinary team. The role includes conducting assessments, admissions screenings, and managing a student caseload with direct and indirect service while maintaining records and supporting program goals.

You will provide consultation to staff and families, monitor implementation of student programs, and support the use of adaptive positioning equipment and orthotics. Ongoing professional growth is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Current licensure by the Maryland State Board of Physical Therapy Examiners.
• Excellent interpersonal and oral and written communication skills.
• Desire to engage in ongoing learning.
• Knowledge of sensorimotor development and orthotics/assistive devices.

Responsibilities

• Conducts physical therapy assessments and admission screenings.
• Manages a student caseload using an integrated therapy model with direct/indirect service and record-keeping.
• Provides consultation and training to staff, parents, and community professionals.
• Monitors program implementation and use of adaptive equipment and devices.
• Pursues continued professional development and education.
