Job summary

Strides Therapy & Educational Services is seeking a School-Based Physical Therapist to join our Baltimore City team. The role focuses on developing and implementing pediatric physical therapy plans within the school environment, collaborating with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students’ mobility and participation in learning.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Valid license to practice physical therapy in Maryland.
• Experience working with children, preferably in a school or pediatric setting.
• Strong clinical skills in pediatric PT assessment, intervention, and documentation.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with school teams and families.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive physical assessments to identify motor skill deficits.
• Develop IEPs based on assessment findings.
• Provide direct and consultative physical therapy services to improve strength, mobility, and function.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents and school staff to integrate therapy goals into educational plans.
• Participate in IEP meetings to provide input and recommendations.
• Maintain accurate records of assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.
