Job summary

CAPITOL REGION EDUCATION COUNCIL seeks a Physical Therapist to support River Street Schools and Programs in Bloomfield/Windsor, CT. The PT will assess, plan, and collaborate on IEP goals and provide educationally relevant therapy in varied school settings.

Role requires strong communication with educators, parents, and staff, plus independent work, documentation, meetings, and compliance with policies. CT PT license and pediatric experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Two years of pediatric school-based PT experience preferred.
• Current Connecticut PT license required.

Responsibilities

• Complete screenings and develop educationally relevant goals and interventions.
• Evaluate physical therapy needs using tests and observations.
• Interpret findings and communicate with staff, parents, and professionals.
• Document therapy services, IEPs, and Medicaid billing when required.
• Collaborate with staff and coordinate with other therapists in schools.
