Job summary

The Physical Therapist (Temporary) at CREC's River Street Autism Program in Bloomfield, CT conducts assessments, plans and collaborates on IEP goals, delivering school-based physical therapy to students.

Qualifications

• Completed an accredited physical therapy program recognized by APTA and passed the National Physical Therapy Examination.
• Two years of experience as a physical therapist, preferably in school or pediatric settings.
• Current Connecticut license from the Department of Public Health.
• Knowledge of how disabilities affect learning and participation in school settings.

Responsibilities

• Assess and develop IEP-driven PT goals.
• Plan and implement educationally relevant therapy interventions.
• Document therapy services and Medicaid billing when required.
• Collaborate with educators, parents and staff.
• Attend meetings and provide professional development for related staff.
• Maintain therapy equipment and supplies.
