Job summary

Care Options for Kids is seeking a School-Based Registered Nurse to provide direct medical care, health education, and preventive services in a school setting. You will assess student health, manage medications, and develop IHPs/EAPs while coordinating with families and school staff.

The role requires strong clinical judgment, excellent communication, and the ability to work with students across diverse communities. PA RN license is required; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Provide direct nursing care to students, including first aid, emergency care, and chronic disease management.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments while monitoring student responses.
• Maintain and ensure student immunization and health records comply with state regulations.
• Develop and implement IHPs and EAPs for students with medical conditions.
• Serve as a liaison between students, families, healthcare providers, and school staff to coordinate care and accommodations.
• Maintain accurate and confidential health records in accordance with HIPAA and FERPA guidelines.
