Job summary

Building Connections Behavioral Health, INC. is seeking a School-Based Occupational Therapist to join our in-person team serving Walnut Creek, Concord, and Martinez schools.

The role operates mainly 9:00 am–3:00 pm, with possibility of full- or part-time schedules supporting students with autism spectrum or other developmental needs. The OT will implement IEP-directed therapy, document progress, and collaborate with families and school staff to enhance students' functional skills in classroom

Qualifications

• Occupational Therapy License required.
• Registered with AOTA and/or NBCOT.
• California driver’s license required.
• Experience supporting children with disabilities.
• Knowledge of IEP processes and school-based OT.

Responsibilities

• Develop the Building Connections OT program.
• Provide OT services identified through IEPs for students.
• Write assessment reports and student goals; maintain progress records.
• Provide individual and group therapy to address sensory-motor needs.
• Collaborate with IEP teams to align goals with educational objectives.
• Support families with home strategies and training.
• Stay informed on CA Special Education laws and policies.
• Manage budget, space, and equipment considerations for OT.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
