Job summary

Qualifications

• Valid certification/licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
• Experience working in a school environment is highly valued
• Solid understanding of IEPs and documentation practices
• Comfortable guiding students in both individual and group therapy sessions
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with educators, therapists, and families
• Adaptable and resourceful approach to meeting student needs

Responsibilities

• Deliver occupational therapy interventions under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
• Assist in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for students
• Collect and document progress data to support ongoing student assessments
• Collaborate closely with teachers and special education teams to ensure therapy supports academic goals
• Utilize age-appropriate activities and equipment to enhance student participation and independence
• Foster a positive, supportive environment that encourages student growth
