Job summary

PRO Companies is seeking a School-Based Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to join the West Grove, PA program through the Chester County Intermediate Unit. This full-time, 10-month position follows the school calendar with M-F daytime hours and pay based on hours worked.

Summers are off, and ESY may be available but not guaranteed. You’ll work with K-12 students in Autistic Support, Multiple Disabilities, and Life Skills classrooms, delivering individualized support, assisting with activities and

• High school diploma or higher is required.
• Minimum 6 months experience with children in a school or daycare setting.
• Comfortable using a computer.
• Ability to complete clinical documentation to school district standards.
• Current clearances (within 6 months).

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized support to a student based on their educational and behavioral needs.
• Assist with classroom activities, transitions, and engagement in learning.
• Support with behavior management strategies as directed by the teacher or behavioral team.
• Help with daily living tasks such as mobility, toileting, feeding, and communication as needed.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and school staff to support the student’s IEP goals.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to school policies and procedures.

Location: West Grove, PA through the Chester County Intermediate Unit (CCIU)

Additional Details: PCAs will provide services during the school calendar year and will follow the school calendar for days off, holidays, etc. Summers are off; ESY may be available but is not guaranteed.

What you’ll do as a PCA.

Our PCAs are vital members of the school team. They work to deliver high-quality services to a variety of students grades K-12. Roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
