Job summary

Ro Health is seeking dedicated paraprofessionals to support students for the 2026–2027 school year and beyond. This role focuses on meaningful, student-centered work within schools across Massachusetts.

Provide direct support to students with disabilities and collaborate with teachers and specialists to implement IEPs and student plans. Flexible assignment schedule, with weekly pay and career growth opportunities through a trusted staffing partner.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Experience working with children, especially in school, camp, or care settings is preferred.
• Ability to pass state/federal background checks and fingerprinting is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to students with disabilities, focusing on behavioral, social-emotional, academic, and educational development.
• Assist in implementing individualized behavior interventions and strategies outlined in IEPs and student support plans.
• Support students with academic tasks, classroom activities, and instructional materials based on their individual needs.
• Monitor and document student behavior, progress, and responses to interventions.
• Support positive behavior management and reinforce social-emotional, communication, and interpersonal skill development in the classroom.
• Provide support with transitions, routines, organization, and daily classroom expectations.
• Facilitate one-on-one or small group sessions targeting behavioral, academic, and skill-building goals.
• Promote student independence and self-advocacy through prompting, modeling, reinforcement, and other appropriate support strategies.
• Support students in developing communication, social, adaptive, and daily living skills as appropriate.
• Collaborate closely with teachers, BCBAs, and specialists to ensure consistency and effectiveness of behavioral and educational supports.
• Assist with de-escalation and crisis prevention strategies in accordance with student plans and school protocols.
• Help maintain a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment that promotes student success.
