We are currently hiring School-Based Outpatient Therapists to join our Reading Outpatient Program. Our Reading office serves the Berks County community through:

• Outpatient Therapy
• School-Based Outpatient Therapy
• Psychiatric Services

Position Summary: The School-Based Outpatient Therapist (SBOP) provides individual, family, and/or group therapy to children and adolescents. He/She promotes independence in managing mental health needs and behavior problems. This position can be full-time or part-time, depending on the applicant's availability, with the possibility of a hybrid schedule at the discretion of the program director. Free supervision for license-eligible candidates is available for full-time employees.

Essential Position Functions:

• Provide therapy (individual, family, or group) on a regular schedule
• Complete all paperwork within policy time frames
• Attend all staff meetings
• Make referrals to community resources
• Transfer skills to clients to promote independence
• Comply with state regulations and training requirements
• Participate in supervision within policy time frames
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Client-focused, team-oriented, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, dependable, problem-solving skills, organizational skills, and compliance-focused. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.

Education and/or Experience:

• A licensed mental health clinician (psychiatrist, psychologist, professional counselor, marriage and family therapist, clinical social worker), or a social worker with a graduate degree requiring a clinical or mental health practicum.
• Experience in individual and family therapy
• Knowledge of mental health systems and community resources
• Ability to intervene and control agitated clients through non-physical interventions. Be aware of hazards like exposure to disease and physical injury risks from psychiatric patients who may act out or lose control.

Credentials and Technical Skills:

• Clearances for Child Abuse, FBI, State Criminal, CPR, and First Aid
