Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a school-based Occupational Therapist for a middle school setting, requiring an active Illinois OT license issued by IDFPR. This on-site role covers two middle schools, with a float assignment and a 7:45am–3:15pm schedule.

You will collaborate with a team of eight OTs to conduct eligibility evaluations, provide MTSS/IEP support, and help generalize skills across education settings. Resume is required for consideration.

Qualifications

• Active Illinois Occupational Therapist license required by IDFPR.
• CPS fingerprinting and CANTS background checks required, with clearance prior to start date.
• License required if applicable

Responsibilities

• On-site position at two middle schools within a district.
• Float role supporting multiple school buildings.
• 7:45am-3:15pm day shift; 7.5 hour work day with a 30 minute lunch.
• 35 billable hours per week; assignment runs through the school year.
• Collaborate with a team of eight OTs supporting the district.
• Conduct initial evaluations and re-evaluations for eligibility under IDEA.
• Provide MTSS and IEP support to students.
• Collaborate with school teams to generalize skills across settings.
