Job summary

Cross Country Education is seeking a School-Based Occupational Therapist to support students across two middle schools in Arlington Heights, IL. The role offers a full-time schedule with a consistent school day and opportunities to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

Licensed OT in Illinois is required. The position features a 35-hour week, a 7:45 AM–3:15 PM schedule, and competitive pay ($53–60+/hr) based on experience. W-2 employment with school-based setting.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Illinois OT license – REQUIRED.
• Experience providing occupational therapy services in a school setting preferred.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary school team.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy services to students in a middle school setting.
• Collaborate with a team of occupational therapists and school staff to support student needs.
• Provide initial and ongoing occupational therapy interventions.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment strategies based on student needs.
• Support students' participation and success within the school environment.
• Collaborate with special education teachers, related service providers, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Support IEP development and implementation as appropriate.
• Consult with school teams to promote generalization of skills across settings.
• Document services, student progress, and interventions accurately and in a timely manner.
