Job summary

The Illinois Association of School Administrators seeks an occupational therapist to provide therapy services for students under IEP and MTSS frameworks. You will collaborate with teachers, parents, and interdisciplinary teams to tailor plans and interventions and document progress diligently.

Applicants should hold an OT degree with NBCOT certification, state licensure, and preferably experience in educational settings.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in occupational therapy from an accredited institution or a Bachelor's degree in occupational therapy with school-based experience.
• Valid state licensure as an occupational therapist in good standing.
• NBCOT certification.
• Experience with children in educational environments preferred.
• Proficiency in sensory processing, fine motor, visual motor skills and executive functioning.

Responsibilities

• Provide therapy services to students as directed by IEPs under the direction of school administration.
• Collaborate with educators, parents and professionals to develop IEPs, 504 plans and MTSS.
• Implement therapeutic interventions for individual and classroom settings.
• Monitor and document students' progress toward objectives.
• Complete all required documentation in a timely manner.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with research and best practices in occupational therapy.
