Job summary

Playing & Learning Therapy in Illinois is seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary educational team. You will work with students who have diverse learning, physical, and developmental needs to develop, implement, and monitor interventions that build functional skills for classroom participation.

This in-person role offers collaboration with teachers, SLPs, PTs, and families, plus mentorship, detailed documentation, and opportunities for ongoing CEU-supported growth

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current Illinois state OT licensure.
• NBCOT certification required.
• 1–2 years of school-based or pediatric OT experience preferred.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct OT evaluations and screenings to determine student needs.
• Develop individualized goals and IEP-aligned treatment plans.
• Provide direct and indirect OT services to students solo or in small groups.
• Collaborate with teachers, SLPs, PTs, parents, and administrators for integrated support.
• Document progress and report on IEP goals and accommodations.
• Maintain compliant evaluations, session notes, and progress reports.
• Offer consultation on assistive tech, classroom adaptations, and sensory strategies.
