Job summary

Clarifi Staffing Solutions in Illinois is seeking a full-time School-Based Occupational Therapist to support students' participation and independence throughout the school day.

You will provide in-person OT services, develop individualized treatment plans, contribute to IEP goals, and collaborate with teachers, families, and related-service staff to help students succeed in classroom activities.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an ACOTE-accredited program.
• OTR examination passage required for Illinois licensure through the examination pathway.
• Active Illinois Occupational Therapist (OT) license through IDFPR, or eligibility for Illinois licensure.
• School-based experience is preferred but not required, depending on the district.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate students’ functional and developmental needs.
• Document services, assessments, and student outcomes.
• Develop and implement individualized OT treatment plans.
• Provide direct and/or consultative occupational therapy services.
• Address fine motor, gross motor, sensory, and coordination skills.
• Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed.
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to students’ educational goals.
• Support students with handwriting, classroom tasks, and self-care activities.
• Recommend and implement adaptive equipment and classroom accommodations.
• Promote student independence, participation, and success in the school environment.
• Collaborate with teachers, families, special education staff, and related-service providers.

Our Organization is partnering with an Illinois school district to hire a full-time Occupational Therapist for the academic year. This school-based opportunity is well suited for an OT who enjoys working directly with students and using therapeutic strategies to help them participate more successfully in their educational environment.

As part of the school team, you’ll provide in-person occupational therapy services based on individual student needs. Your work will help students strengthen the functional abilities needed for learning and daily school routines, including fine motor development, sensory processing, self-care, coordination, and classroom participation.
