Job summary

Blazer Jobs is hiring a School-Based Occupational Therapist to join a dedicated team in Albuquerque, NM. You will evaluate students, create IEP-aligned plans, and deliver direct OT services to enhance classroom participation and independence.

The role emphasizes collaboration with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary staff, participation in IEP meetings, and adherence to IDEA and district requirements. NM licensure and NBCOT are required.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Valid NM OT license or eligibility to obtain licensure.
• NBCOT certification is required.
• Understanding of IDEA and IEP processes.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate students to determine OT needs affecting school participation.
• Develop and implement IEP-aligned OT treatment plans.
• Provide direct OT services to students across grades.
• Support fine motor, sensory, self-care, and classroom skills.
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and specialists.
• Participate in IEP meetings and provide recommendations.
• Complete evaluations, progress notes, and reports.
• Recommend adaptive equipment and classroom modifications.
• Monitor progress and adjust interventions as needed.
• Maintain compliance with district and state requirements.
