Job summary

Soliant is seeking an Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a contract role near Albuquerque, NM, about 25 minutes from the city. You will work with a supportive team to provide essential therapy services to a diverse student population in a vibrant educational setting.

You will deliver school-based occupational therapy for elementary and middle school students, collaborating with teachers, families, and staff to develop and implement IEPs.

Qualifications

• Valid licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
• Eligibility to obtain or hold NM RLD and NMPED licenses.
• Experience in school-based settings (elementary/middle school) preferred.
• Proficiency in therapeutic techniques tailored to student needs.
• Strong communication and collaboration with educators, families, and students.
• Able to manage a caseload of approximately 40-50 students.

Responsibilities

• Deliver occupational therapy interventions to support participation, independence, and engagement in school activities.
• Collaborate with teachers and school staff to develop and implement IEPs.
• Assess students' skills and craft targeted treatment plans addressing developmental and functional areas.
• Keep accurate records of progress and document sessions per state requirements.
• Provide guidance and training to staff and families to facilitate student success.
