Job summary

TheraPeds Partners is seeking a part-time Orientation & Mobility Specialist (O&M) to support K–12 students in a Loveland, Ohio school setting during the 2026–2027 year. This on-site role offers guaranteed hours and a manageable caseload.

You will assess, plan, and provide individualized O&M instruction, collaborating with teachers and families to help students travel independently and safely in school and community environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; graduate degree in Orientation & Mobility, Vision Studies, Special Education, or related field preferred.
• Current COMS certification through ACVREP required or eligibility to obtain certification per district requirements.
• Appropriate Ohio educational licensure, certification, or authorization as required for the position.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized O&M instruction to students in one-on-one and small-group settings.
• Conduct comprehensive O&M assessments and evaluations to determine mobility needs.
• Develop measurable IEP goals and objectives based on assessment findings.
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, families, and administrators to support student independence.
