Job summary

East Greenbush Central School District is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant to support students with OT services. You will work with students individually or in groups, provide treatment for their daily living activities, and assist the Occupational Therapist in care planning and equipment setup.

You will observe student responses, record outcomes, and help maintain safety during therapy sessions. A NYS licensure registration is required to perform these duties in the school setting.

Qualifications

• Licensed and currently registered by the New York State Education Department as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.
• Working knowledge of occupational therapy principles, terminology and treatment procedures.

Responsibilities

• Carry out occupational therapy procedures with students individually or in groups.
• Train students in activities of daily living and self-care tasks.
• Prepare and set up therapy apparatus and supervise therapy aides as directed.
• Observe, record and report student responses to treatments and maintain treatment records.
