Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s or master’s degree in occupational therapy.
• NBCOT Certification and/or state certification as specified in the contract.
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Provide Occupational Therapy intervention for students based on IEP/ISP goals and state requirements.
• Monitor student progress and document outcomes.
• Test and evaluate students to determine need for therapy when requested.
• Consult with classroom teachers to align therapy with educational needs and classroom integration.
• Communicate with parents regularly about progress and home activities as appropriate.
• Develop solutions to challenges for individual students based on research and professional judgment.
• Make referrals to community resources as needed.
• Complete required paperwork in a timely and organized manner.
• Other duties may be assigned.
