Health Advocates Network, Inc. in Wilmington, Delaware is seeking an Occupational Therapist to deliver school-based OT services. The role supports students’ academic participation and daily living skills in a professional healthcare setting, with a competitive hourly wage and W2 benefits.

The ideal candidate holds a DE license, has at least 1 year of OT experience, and can complete PSV and certifications. You will collaborate with teachers, parents, and staff to implement individualized plans

Qualifications

• Current, valid, and unrestricted DE license/certification for OT, in good standing.
• Minimum of 1 year of recent OT experience.
• Copy of Primary Source Verification (PSV) from licensing board or verification agency, if required.
• Copy of required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test).

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy services to support students’ academic participation and daily functional skills.
• Assess students’ abilities related to fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and classroom activities.
• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on student needs and educational goals.
• Provide interventions to improve coordination, motor skills, independence, and participation in school activities.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support student development and learning outcomes.
• Recommend adaptive equipment, accommodations, and strategies to improve student success.
• Monitor and document student progress and maintain accurate therapy records.
• Participate in student support meetings, evaluations, and individualized education planning.
• Follow school policies, safety guidelines, and applicable professional standards.
