Job summary

AMN Healthcare is partnering with a Newark, Delaware school district to hire an Occupational Therapist (OT) for school-based services. The OT will address motor, sensory, and cognitive skills affecting academics, self-care, play, and social participation within the educational setting.

The role involves collaboration with district teams, data collection, documentation, and training for staff. Active DE OT licensure and NBCOT credentials are preferred, with a focus on student outcomes.

Qualifications

• Licensed Occupational Therapist in Delaware, with school experience preferred.
• NBCOT certification is a plus, licensure must be active.
• Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program with eligibility to practice in DE.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with school district as part of the multidisciplinary team to support student goals.
• Screen and evaluate referred students; collect data and report findings.
• Provide direct and consultative OT services as required by the district.
• Maintain accurate documentation and billing per district and state standards.
• Train and support teachers and staff on strategies to improve participation.
• Communicate with teachers, district staff and families regarding progress.
