Job summary

New Bedford Public Schools is seeking an Occupational Therapist Assistant to provide occupational therapy services per the OT plan, serving students with various developmental and physical needs and coordinating with the OT team and families.

The OTA will implement an OT curriculum, collect progress data, attend IEP meetings, and collaborate with teachers and therapists to support student success across inclusive settings.

Qualifications

• Completion of OTA program and MA OTA certification.
• Ability to follow treatment plans and IEP goals as developed by the OTR/L.
• Experience coordinating with teachers and other therapists.

Responsibilities

• Design developmentally appropriate OT curriculum aligned with IEP goals.
• Provide direct individual or small group OT instruction.
• Administer OT assessments with OTR/L support for IEP processes.
• Attend IEP meetings and maintain data on caseloads.
• Collaborate with staff to implement and monitor goals.
