Job summary

Wilmington Public Schools in Wilmington, MA seeks a licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to provide high-quality services and consultation district-wide in collaboration with the supervising OT and school staff.

The OTA will assist in implementing OT services for an assigned caseload, participate in TEAM meetings, and maintain comprehensive records. Supervision by a licensed OT is provided as needed according to MA guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Previous experience as a COTA in a public school setting preferred.
• Valid License to Practice as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant in Massachusetts required.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Bachelor degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality OT services and consultation across the district in collaboration with supervising Occupational Therapist and staff.
• Assist in implementing OT services for an assigned caseload of students.
• Make appropriate OT referrals and program recommendations with input from the clinical supervisor as appropriate.
• Participate as a member of the education team by performing assessments, writing progress notes and attending TEAM meetings.
• Maintain thorough and ongoing records for students receiving occupational therapy.
• Consult with teachers and other professionals to supplement educational efforts.
