Sunbelt Staffing is seeking an Occupational Therapist to support elementary and secondary students on a contract basis near Rio Rancho, NM. You will assess student needs, develop individualized plans, and deliver therapy to improve fine motor skills, sensory processing, daily living activities, and adaptive behavior.

Collaboration with teachers, families, and staff is essential to integrate interventions into classroom routines.

Qualifications

• Active Occupational Therapist (OT) license in New Mexico.
• Experience in school-based or pediatric OT settings preferred.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to adapt therapy strategies for diverse learning needs.
• Commitment to ethical and evidence-based practice.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments and develop individualized plans tailored to each student's unique needs.
• Deliver therapy to support fine motor skills, sensory processing, activities of daily living, and adaptive behavior.
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and staff to integrate OT interventions within classroom routines.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of evaluations, progress, and outcomes.
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise for educational planning.
• Provide consultation and training to school staff to promote inclusive learning environments.
