Job summary

Orange Tree Staffing is seeking a bright Occupational Therapist to provide education-based therapy services to students in Rio Rancho, NM for the 2026/2027 school year. This on-site role supports elementary and middle school populations with a 37.5-hour work week.

You will conduct assessments, develop individualized intervention plans, and collaborate with teachers and parents to integrate OT strategies into daily classroom activities.

Qualifications

• Active NM OT license.
• Experience in school-based OT preferred.
• Ability to design and implement evidence-based interventions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of students’ fine motor, sensory, and functional needs.
• Develop and implement individualized intervention plans tailored to each student’s goals.
• Provide therapeutic services to improve daily living skills, motor coordination, and school participation.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to integrate OT strategies into classroom activities.
• Attend IEP meetings and provide clear reports and recommendations.
• Monitor progress and adjust plans based on ongoing assessments and collaboration.
• Maintain accurate documentation and stay current with best OT practices.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Location Of Services:Rio Rancho, NM
• Hours Per Week:37.5 Hours Per Week
• Dates of Contract: 2026/2027 School Year
• Additional:On-site applicants only at this time, working at an Elementary or Middle School level, with a 40-50 caseload.

• Monitor progress regularly, adjusting intervention plans as needed based on ongoing assessments and collaboration.
• Maintain accurate documentation, including assessments, intervention plans, progress notes, and compliance reports.
• Stay current with best practices in occupational therapy through research and professional development.
