Job summary

Birch Agency in Lansing, MI is seeking a full-time In-person Occupational Therapist to support students in the upcoming school year. This 35-hour/week role focuses on motor, sensory, and functional skills to help students access learning environments.

You'll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, conduct evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans, and participate in IEP goals while documenting progress in compliance with district requirements.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Active Michigan OT license or eligibility.
• Experience in school setting preferred.
• Strong understanding of special education services, IEP processes, and goal development.

Responsibilities

• Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and re-evaluations to identify students' needs.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with IEP goals.
• Provide direct and indirect OT services to students.
• Support students in fine motor, sensory processing, self-care, and functional skills for school participation.
• Collaborate with teachers, families, administrators, and related service providers.
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal development and progress monitoring.
• Recommend adaptive equipment and classroom modifications as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation and compliance records.
