Job summary

Diversified Treatment Alternative Centers (DTAC) is seeking a compassionate School-Based Mental Health Therapist to provide therapeutic services to elementary-age students through our CSBBH program.

This role involves assessments, treatment planning, and coordinating care with families, teachers, and school staff to support student well-being and long-term success within a school setting.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in counseling, psychology, social work, education, human services, or related behavioral health field.
• Licensed, license-eligible, or qualified Mental Health Clinician under Pennsylvania regulations.
• Experience working with children, adolescents, or families preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills.
• Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive behavioral health assessments
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Provide individual therapy services to elementary-age students
• Conduct family therapy sessions and parent meetings as clinically appropriate
• Monitor treatment progress and adjust interventions as needed
• Utilize trauma-informed and evidence-based therapeutic approaches
• Collaborate with teachers, school counselors, administrators, and support staff
• Communicate treatment progress with families and referral sources
• Coordinate services with community providers and outside agencies
• Provide clinical guidance and support to Behavioral Health Technicians when appropriate
