The Office of Mental Health within the South Carolina Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities in Charleston is seeking a Mental Health Professional I. The role focuses on counseling and case management for child and adolescent patients and their families, primarily in schools, with additional services in clinics and community settings.

Qualifikationen

• Working knowledge of mental health legal principles and practices; of methods, principles and practices of clinical counseling and educational services.
• Considerable knowledge of psychopathology and patient management in a psychiatric setting.
• Ability to plan, coordinate, and manage complex treatment.
• Ability to listen, understand, and communicate information effectively.

Aufgaben

• Provide mental health counseling and case management services to child and adolescent patients and their families open to the Charleston Dorchester Mental Health Center.
• Provide quality person-centered care using evidence-based clinical interventions.
• Conduct family therapy and maintain documentation reflecting quality care.
• Collaborate with the Center and community partners; ensure timely responses to service requests.
• Maintain competency in EBPs and meet QA standards.
• Comply with BHDD/CDMHC policies and federal/state regulations; attend mandatory trainings.
