Job summary

The SC Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities – Office of Mental Health in Spartanburg seeks a Mental Health Professional I. You will provide individual, family, and group therapy, develop treatment plans, and participate in on-call rotations within school-based and community settings.

You will work with youth involved with DJJ, build partnerships with community members, and deliver culturally sensitive services while meeting state credentialing and trainings.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in guidance, counseling, the social sciences, or related field.
• Evidence of clinical experience providing direct patient care.
• Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish (or another language) are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, family, and group therapy and intake assessments.
• Design, implement, and monitor treatment plans; participate in clinic on-call rotation.
• Maintain patient charts according to QA standards and ensure culturally sensitive services.
• Collaborate with school-based/out-stationed personnel and community partners to address mental health needs and trainings.
